A Collection Of Cocktail Recipes

A Collection Of Cocktail Recipes From the 19th And 20th Centuries
This is a unique collection of cocktail recipes, collated by OAKDEN. This collection is under copyright (c) Oakden 2011 please do not reproduce elsewhere. A collection of over 140 of the World’s Best (original and authentic) Cocktail Recipes from the 1800s and 1900s. From the Martini to the Hunter’s Flask a cocktail is a mixed drink containing two or more ingredients; and while originally it meant only a mixture of distilled spirits, sugar, water, and bitters, a cocktail has gradually come to mean almost any mixed drink containing alcohol. So a cocktail today (against the purist’s best wishes) usually contains one or more types of liquor, and one or more mixers, such as bitters, fruit juice, fruit, soda, ice, sugar, honey, milk, cream, or herbs.
In this collection we have gathered together (through extensive research and cross-checking) what we consider to be the Top 30 Best Cocktails Of All Time, (from original and authentic recipes sources) as well as the Top 20 Summer Cocktails, and the Top 30 Winter And Festive Cocktails & Hot Toddies. We have also listed the Top ‘Patriotic’ Cocktails from Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England and the Best Cocktails for a Stag Or Hen Night Party. These 140 odd Cocktails will cover any occasion or event and you can be sure that you are serving them as they were intended to be served. We have also put together a basic ingredient and utensil list and masterclass to get you started and confident in the murky area of Mixology.
